Hagia Sophia, the Church of the Divine Wisdom, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian.
Blue Mosque, facing Hagia Sophia, famous for its blue Iznik tiles and 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet in 15th century.
Hippodrome, center of sportive events (chariot races, athletics) and political activities of the old city. Serpentine Column, Obelisk of Theodosius and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating the Hippodrome.
Imperial Topkapi Palace which served as the main residence and administrative headquarters for Ottoman Sultans in 15th and 16th centuries. Now it’s used as a museum with many different quarters including a huge treasury gallery , ceramic, religious relics sections as well as Harem and residential sections which will give some insight of the daily life of the Ottoman Sultans.
Cistern – Istanbul is famous for its beautiful cisterns. On the way to Grand Bazaar you will stop over to visit Serefiye Cistern.
